This is one cat toy that is also a fun game for cats and
their humans. Three Cat Quoits are included in the
set and they come with a list of rules for three different
cat friendly games. This game was designed by The
Green Dragon and can only be found on this website!
Based on the original game of Quoits which is
descended from the discus toss and first recorded in
the Greek Olympic games in 200 BC. In later times
the Quoits had evolved from a game of pitching at a
maximum distance to a game of accuracy with points
awarded to whomever could cast the Quoit closest to a
peg in the ground. Quoits were custom made for their
owners with prices far out of reach for the average
person. It is told that soldiers in the Roman army used
old cast off horse shoes curved into the rough shape of
a circle and this is how the game of Horseshoes was
born. Rules for Quoits and Horseshoes are very
similar, as are the rules for our Cat Quoits toy!
